Security

With the devastating attack on Westminster Bridge, the private security industry has a very important role as part of the extended police family, to help create and maintain safer communities. Security is everyone’s business. If we are to combat terrorism it means there needs to be a community response and this involves understanding the terrorist threat and the role civic bodies play in making our communities resilient.

Safer Workforce training is playing its part by developing a terrorism awareness course modelled on the National Counter Terrorism Security Advisor Project Griffin course. This one day level 2 courses will help business owners, community leaders, security officers, door supervisors, managers and anyone interested in protecting their community to understand the threat and develop risk mitigation strategies to protect staff, customers and general public from Paris or Germany type attacks.

Safer Workforce Training also provides specific licensed liked qualifications for those working as Door supervisors, security officers, CCTV operatives and those intending to and/or currently working in the private security industry but needing to obtain a license in a different sector.
